Nadia came to Dr. Tabib with a clear picture in her mind and a few disappointments under her belt. Other dentists had tried, but none could give her the smile she wanted. Most recently, Nadia had gotten porcelain veneers from another dentist which were square, bulky, and lacked the translucency of natural teeth.

The New York City Smile Design staff had no trouble at all understanding why she wasn’t satisfied. Many small and large factors make the difference between bad and good veneers, but the difference in appearance is everything to a patient. An inexperienced or unskilled dentist, low-quality materials, and a shoddy lab are just a few possible causes for bad veneers. In fact, so much artistry goes into creating beautiful, natural looking veneers: they must be sculpted to just the right shape and size for the patient’s face, age, and gender. The gums must be symmetrical, and the veneers must be placed in a way that gives the patient their best chance at keeping them healthy. The color must match the patient’s surrounding teeth. And above all, the veneers have to look like natural teeth with some transparency and a shape that catches the light just as teeth do.

A skilled dentist makes all the difference. They will be taking the molds of your teeth, designing their new shape, choosing the color/shade, and sculpting a model for the lab to work from. That’s why trust is essential, and it’s why Nadia knew she was in the right hands. As a media personality, she felt that a beautiful smile was required.

After that last experience with the bulky veneers, Nadia began searching online again in hopes of finding a dentist who could truly help her. She saw Dr. Tabib’s work on Instagram and knew immediately that he’d be the “final dentist.” She would get her beautiful smile.

From the beginning, it was a great experience for Nadia. While it took a while to repair her upper veneers plus create the lowers, she is so happy with the results. She’s no longer embarrassed about her smile and instead reports feeling very proud to show her teeth now.
