Tracy’s venture to improve her smile started with a sudden appearance of pain on her front tooth. Tracy always wanted to do something about her smile but had a fear of dentists. Once we determined that her front tooth needed a root canal a referral was made to Dr. Jason Deblinger,an Endodontist specializing in that field with an uncanny ability to properly treat fearful patients. Tracy was now reassured and determined to address her smile. Tracy’s front teeth never met each other when she was biting all the way down. This condition is referred to as an open bite and can have damaging consequences including complete overuse of back teeth and flaring of the front teeth. With a thorough and diligent plan this condition can successfully be reversed. We successfully corrected this condition with the combination of a porcelain fixed bridge on her lower front teeth and veneers on the upper teeth.
