Veneers: Laura

Laura brought her high school photos to our consultation so we could see what she already knew: that her once beautiful smile had changed dramatically, to turn uneven and dull. Laura’s teeth had been worn away, becoming shorter and uneven as the enamel on her teeth slowly eroded. Over time, the eroded surfaces became sensitive to sweet and cold, and her bite also became misaligned. The loss of enamel was due to acid erosion, and the misalignment to earlier grinding and clenching her teeth. In addition, Laura’s smile was excessively gummy in the back section of her upper jaw. To improve her gum line, we completed a laser gum lift; once we were satisfied with the new gum line, we proceeded to placing porcelain veneers on her eroded teeth. For Laura, ten upper teeth, and all her lower teeth, were restored with the new veneers that both corrected her jaw position and brought back her beautiful youthful smile.
