Veneers: Stephanie

Ice hockey and figure skating are top sports for most kids in Canada, most of them are on the ice when they’re just beginning to walk. For Stephanie, figure skating was a big part of her teen years growing up in Montreal; she even compete at the national level. She felt confident of her abilities, but didn’t want to make skating her career. Eventually, she moved to New York to pursue studies in the arts and humanities. When we saw her for a consult, she admitted to hating her smile, and added that she’d never felt comfortable having it enhanced and improved in Canada. She had had white bonding on her front teeth (they had darkened over time, and were chipped in the bargain). In order to rebuild her smile and heighten her self-confidence, we decided to place 10 veneers on her upper teeth to complement her naturally broad and beautiful smile. It is not rare to see tears of joy from patients when they see the final results they’d always hoped for. But it’s especially gratifying when the tears are followed by “I’m so happy, so happy…”
