Veneers: Shawn

Shawn was a weight-lifter in buff condition, but — for him –it had become a problem as well as a virtue. His front teeth had become worn down from the excessive force used in his workouts, and from long-term grinding of his teeth while he was asleep. Of course his front teeth were right in the center of his smile, so our treatment for Shawn was both cosmetic and functional. We prepared his four front teeth for veneers, and also created an appliance for him to wear at night that would prevent any further wear. Luckily for Shawn, he came in for his consultation and treatment when only four teeth were involved; had he waited, the treatment would have involved many more teeth. After completing the work, we scheduled Shawn for periodic evaluations, to make sure that there would be no further damage. Coming in sooner, rather than later, to treat a problem is the best way to achieve and maintain a beautiful smile
